Mattress Care

  1. Turn the mattress twice a month for the first 6 months, every 2 months thereafter.  By turning the mattress this way, you save unreasonable wear and tear that’s not covered under your warranty.
  2. Rotate foundation every 3 months
  3. Never bend an innerspring mattress.
  4. Never bend a foam mattress more than 30 degree.
  5. Use a quality bed frame. To avoid structural damage and voiding of your warranty, queen and king size sets must also be used with a ridged center support with a leg or bed slat.
  6. Do not get mattress wet, it may cause the mattress to milder and is not recommended.
  7. Investing in a quality mattress pad will protect your mattress and help you sleep.  If you like your mattress soft, a mattress pad can take some of the hardness out of the mattress. A good mattress pad will also keep your mattress clean, because they repel dust and stains.
  8. Don’t use an iron or apply excessive heat to, or around the mattress.
  9. Do not use the handles to turn or rotate your mattress.  The handles are designed to help you position your mattress on the box spring or foundation.
  10. Avoid sitting on the edge of your mattress as this tends to break down and weaken the edge supports.
  11. If you smell a slight “new product” odor, leave the mattress and foundation uncovered and well ventilated a few hours.  Letting it breath should do the trick.
  12. Don’t dry clean.  The chemicals in dry cleaning agents/spot removers may be harmful to the fabric or underlying materials.
  13. Do not remove the law tag.  It is not illegal, but the information on the tag will serve as a means for identification should you have a warranty claim.
  14. While jumping on the bed may seem like harmless fun, it may mean you have to replace your mattress sooner.  Repeated jumping leaves impressions that, over time, can reduce the resiliency and durability of your mattress.
